SIBLINGSFACTORY by JDS Architects

SIBLINGSFACTORY is a new concept store of 200m2, pleasant and welcoming, ideal for beauty, quality and excellence, imagined by the Belgian architect Julien De Smedt and dedicated to contemporary creativity in the heart of the Dansaert area in Brussels.

SIBLINGSFACTORY is a genuinely evolutive space, which combines fashion with design and art. With its fine selection of clothing and accessories for men and women, as well as its exhibitions, design pieces and vintage furniture -and a bookstore café with arty magazines- SIBLINGSFACTORY is a place devoted to culture where anything shown can be purchased. The “factory” section, entirely dedicated to creators and their pieces, aims to showcase confirmed talent, as well as offer support to young artists.

Selected vintage furniture from the 1950s and 1960s will also be available, as well as pieces designed by Julien De Smedt and Marine Breynaert’s famous industrial lamps.

The industrial interior is composed by white painted walls, features cacti, gravel, concrete floors and a fibreboard bridge, the railing of the second floor consisting of tall thin cacti.

The opening took place on the 5th of September to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Le Mont Saint Michel’s brand.

Exhibitions will be organized on a regular basis, in partnership with cultural events in Brussels, such as Art Brussels, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Carine Brancovitz, David Hamilton or Etienne de Fleurieu.

A choice of edgy magazines will be showcased within the tearoom space:

A magazine – Achtung – Apartemento – Cash – Domus – Fantastic man – Fricote – Grey – I Love Fake – I Love You – Monocle – Purple Fashion – S Magazine – The Gentlewoman – The Last Magazine – Travel Almanac – Wad – AA – Illuminator – Midcentury – Palais – Mousse – Pin up
