Kindergarden in Chroscice by PORT

PORT: ‘Children have a drive to be independent and do things on their own. This is a healthy part of normal child development. As children grow, they are able to do more and more tasks. Kids use their 5 senses to discover the world and shape their personality. They absorb surrounding, which affects concentration and harmonious development. Surrounding creates children’s reality, affect knowledge and encourage to develop certain skills. And through all of above makes them happy.’

‘In our project we respect the stages of children’s interests, that develop within the age. We distribute function and materials around the building in logical, natural order. A variety of open and cozy spaces is a simple invitation for fun at one time, as well as calm rest later on. Pin up and chalkboards help kids express themselves, while being inspired by everyday life objects turned into fairytales. For instance, there is a transformation of ordinary elements into world of imagination: walls into a lively meadow with animals, hangers into colorful flowers at children’s height, access into a magical tunnel and the ceiling becomes a game of shapes. Kindergarten plays the role of a guide, gently helping pupils understand their surroundings.’

‘Kids in Chróścice, small village on the south of Poland, will attempt to discover the world. They will gain knowledge about nature, wildlife, ecology, as well as culture. Develop their souls, harts and muscles. They will make first fiends and relationships. Building will help them to feel safe and valuable, and will gain self-reliance and self-confidence.’
